Scandalous Death

Posted on 4th February 2010 by admin in opinions, others

Just last week, our peaceful city was shocked by scandalous news. Two couple found dead inside a car that was submerged in water at one of our ports here in the city. Both were found almost naked. The man was married, aged 57, while the female was a 4th year nursing student, age 22. No one knows if it was foul-play or just an accident.

Anyway, since it was a very scandalous death, will the family of the man (who was a rich business man by the way) receive insurance benefits? Will the man benefit from his high life insurance rate? Well, my husband answered me yes. As long as it will be proven to be an accident, the family of the man will get something.

It was a big question for me since their death was so very mysterious. The police have many theories while many people have speculations. So, you can’t avoid thinking what will the family get out from this scandalous death. I pity the children of the married man. They will face shame and so as the family of the girl.

Electricity Bill and Moving Out

Posted on 3rd February 2010 by admin in personal

Every time I receive our electricity bill here in this place that we are renting, I always thought to myself that might have a heart attack. The amount that it reflects is not the same to what I have accustomed to pay for the past few months. It seems that our bill increased to 50% compared to the previous house we rented.

So, I contemplated why this is happening to us. Is the lighting fixtures installed in this house consumes more than the previous one? Did the electricity rate increased? Are there people who are using jumpers to get electricity from our line?

Since I could not prove anything as of the moment, I decided to continue with our decision for us family to move out. It’s better to solve most of our problems with one move out than try to solve them one by one. Don’t you agree?

12 Year Old Girl Speaks Out on the Issue of Abortion

Posted on 3rd February 2010 by admin in causes

I saw the link to this video on Facebook, thanks to Mommy Jennie who posted it. To be honest, what the 12 year old girl said in this video made me cry. I haven’t experienced abortion since I am always a pro-life advocate but it pains me to hear all those statistics of babies who died before they were born. I just wish they air this video on televisions so that it can get a greater mileage especially those people who are in the verge in making one.

As the girl says… a person is a person, no matter how small… Please watch the video below. Thanks!

Cigarettes and Cigars

Posted on 22nd January 2010 by admin in others

Have you ever wondered why people smoke cigarettes and some cigars? Do you know the difference between the two? Well, if you ask me, I don’t have the slightest clue!

The thing is I only know that cigarettes are usually covered with white paper while cigars are brown. Aside from the color, cigarettes are smaller and cigars are bigger. Cigarettes comes in different brands like Marlboro, Winston, YSL and others while cigars are like Dutch Master cigars, Rocky Patel and more. Cigarette smokers are more likely to be young and single while cigar smokers are sometimes matured and married.

So, what do you think the difference between a cigarette and a cigar?
