Yearly Monthly Payments

When another year comes we always take note of annual payments. May it be renewals or just investment payments; one must make sure that it’s paid on time to maximize money. Some may offer promos such as discount auto insurance or gift items when paid on time. So be sure pay early to avoid penalties or long lines.

Anyway, though I like to have discounts, I prefer monthly paying ever since. This is easier for our family’s meager budget.

How about you? Do you do yearly or monthly payments?

Eddie Ako MTV and Lyrics

Last month I wrote a post about Noynoy Aquino’s MTV Ad and I gave my opinion. I still think that the ad was very suggestive that Noynoy is the answer.

Now, I saw the MTV Ad of Bro. Eddie Villanueva, the evangelist from Jesus is Lord Ministries. Just to be honest, I really love the ad because it is directed more in self change and a new Philippines (Bagong Pilipinas) which I am really passionate about. I joined the Ako Mismo Movement because I believe that change should start within us. So the tag line “Eddie Ako” (eh di ako) of the song symbolizes that we should start the new Philippines within us.

I think Bro. Eddie Villanueva would be a great leader because he is. He led Jesus is Lord Ministries for many years now in helping Filipinos know Jesus Christ more and to change within for Christ’s glory.

So, if we are looking for a “lesser evil” in politics to become the president of the Philippines, why not try somebody who FEARS GOD?

Anyway, below is the MTV Ad for Bro. Eddie Villanueva and the lyrics of the song. Hope you enjoy!

Eddie Ako! Official Music Video
Composed by: Paul Armesin
Singer: Gloc 9

I
Umasa kang pagbangon ay posible pa
Pangarap nating araw ay sisiskat na
Pag-asay magniningas sa bagong Pilipinas

II
Buong sambayanan magkapit bisig na
Upang tunay na pagbabagoy magsimula
Sa pag sulong ng bayan, makiisa!

Chorus:
Sino pang may malasakit at pag-ibig sa bansa
Sino pa? Eh di ako!
Kailan mag uumpisa? Magkaisa, kumilos na!
Kailan pa? Eh di ngayon!
Sino pa nga bang gagawa?
Sinong pagsisimulan
Sinong magtataguyod ng bayan ni Juan?
Eh di ako!

RAP by Gloc 9:

Going Back to School

My father and my aunt have always been talking about me going to the US to work. They said if I work there and hopefully migrate with my family, our family’s chances in life would be great.

So they told me that I should go back to school to become a nurse or a teacher because these are the professions in the US that are in demand. Since I have a baby and two school age children, going back to school seems to be a surmountable task. It would be very difficult for me to balance time. I have to allot time for my kids, my husband, and my work online and school.

Anyway, I told my aunt that going back to school is difficult unless I do it the new way – study online! Yup, with today’s technology, getting an online degree is possible. I can even get an online teaching degree that has a curriculum accredited in the US like the programs offered by Western Governors University. That means I can go back to school and learn how to become a teacher without ever leaving our house!

And guess what?! Since my father and aunt belong to the olden ways, they don’t believe what I said to them about having an online degree. So I told them to just visit the website and consider the options. I might get my teacher’s degree online without spending money on fare just to get to school!
