Not All Yoyos Are The Same

Every kid is fascinated with a yoyo and how it is played. It seems that the ability to successfully let down and pull up the yoyo right after gives enough elation for a day’s dosage. A kid even smaller than the length of the string will even go up and stand on a chair just to be able to play.

Adults, on the other hand, go on with different tricks and even join contests to compete with other yoyo enthusiasts. The ordinary yoyo is no longer enough. It has to be one of those great ones like duncan yoyos to be able to execute the tricks a lot better.

It seems that it cannot be helped that a smoker smokes whenever he or she wants as long as he or she can buy it or if someone gave it as a gift or a treat. All the rest can do is to avoid the smoke. Better yet, the smoker should be concerned with the people around especially to those who are not smokers and to those who are allergic to smoke.

Nevertheless, as a smoker, you must go for the best cigar deals so as not to put more money than you can save into it. At least you can save a few bucks!

Healthy Me in 2012

For sure, so many people have their new year’s resolutions list ready at this time of the year. I mean if they are not written, at least it is being thought about. To be honest, one of the things that I really want to pursue next year would be maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It is something most people would have in their lists, for sure… but how does one achieve it actually?

Getting enough hours of sleep, eating the right kind of food at the right time and no soda would top the things to do, but they seem to be the hardest! I could not blame some people who are too frustrated about their weights to resort to weight loss pills that work!

Regular Job Again?

Been jobless for 3 years now, though I am enjoying the life of a stay at home mom, I still miss the social gatherings and yearly bonuses from a regular job, aside from that, getting the occasional perks given to us for a job well done.

Anyway, I have been thinking of going back to work. I have seen a lot of Quality Coordinator Jobs available but the problem is the time. I don’t like working late at night. Though I am doing it currently with my extra income job online but at least I am at home with my kids. A regular job at night away from home looks tiring and bored.

If I find a job that pays right and even has a great working or flexible time, I might consider but it not, I might as well be contented with what I have now for the meantime.

Be Kind to Everyone

The Big Boss smoking his cigar is often what comes to mind when we watch movies that are related to Mafias. That is why you can’t blame games like Mafia Wars and other games have caricatures with the same impressions.

Not only on Mafias but also with babies… if you have a baby boy, all of the items are branded in blue and if you have a girl, you get pink.

So, what is my point here? Simple, people are often influenced by the stereotyping done by other people. Stereotyping can be good in giving you ideas on what to give children in terms of color but when it is done to other people, as to pre-judging a person even though you haven’t any knowledge of his/her past is really bad.

A good example of this kind is the viral Facebook profile status that says…

A 15 year old girl holds hands with her 1 year old son. People call her a slut; no one knows she was raped at 13. People call a girl fat, no one knows she has a serious disease which causes her to be overweight. People call an old man ugly; no one knows he had a serious injury to his face while he was…fighting in the war. Make this your status if you’re against bullying & stereotyping, bet none of you will?

Another blogger updated this status into a more corrected grammar and in a broad sense…

A fifteen year old girl holds her one year old son and people call her a slut. Nobody cares about how hard her life is and helps her. People call a girl fat, and miss meeting the person who could have been her best friend. People call an old man ugly, instead of talking to him and learning about all the extraordinarily things that have happened in this life. Pass this on if you want to, but more importantly, show kindness to others, even when you find them distasteful. (Crusade Against Boredom)

Grammatically wrong or correct, I think stereotyping is bad in some manner. The only solution is putting in mind that we should be kind always. It can really make a difference and can make this world a better place for everyone.

Am I making sense? I hope I did.

Weddings are lovely occasions to cherish for the newlyweds. It is the start of their new life together and it is the only moment in their lives where they are the center of attraction. That means, they are stars or celebrities for a day because all eyes are on them.

And weddings are also good opportunities to bequeath those heirlooms like mothers rings. Mothers always have a piece of valuable jewelry that they are willing to pass on to their daughters or daughters in law when they are ready to walk down the aisle. It is such an emotional thing to do.

Swimming is a great exercise for young and old alike to keep fit. It is the only exercise that is greatly recommended for pregnant women. That is because swimming is a low impact physical exercise but you still get to work out your entire body. For older people or those who are incapacitated, there are pool lifts available so that they can easily get into the pool. But I haven’t seen these yet in local pools. It would be a great amenity to have so that those who are not able bodied can still enjoy bathing or just relaxing in the pool.

Perhaps the easiest jobs to get into but not entirely the easiest jobs to do are sales jobs. When you go to the mall, a number of people in executive attire will swarm to you trying to sell you something. Sometimes they will give you a flier and tell you that you are qualified to claim a prize from their store. But when you go there, you will have to go through like an hour of sales presentation and they will strongly pressure you to buy. The best thing to do for these kinds of businesses is to firmly say no and go out. They cannot hold you like a prisoner and they will not risk a scandal. Sometimes you can get sympathetic towards these people but in the end, they will take you in and con you of your hard-earned dough.
