Today is the birthday of my stepbrother Nonoy. He should have been 41 years old right now if he hadn’t died 30 years ago. He died of chicken pox on May 11, 1979. My mother was 7 months pregnant with me at that time.

Though we haven’t met, I heard stories about him and how he was an obedient son. Since he was the oldest, he was very responsible. Maybe that is the reason why I always remember him during his birthday. I always admire my big brother though I never knew him personally.

In heaven you may be, I still remember you. Happy Birthday Nonoy!
